01. What is MelvinCymraeg and who is it for?
MelvinCymraeg is software for teaching and learning European Modern Foreign Languages through the medium of Welsh on the Interactive whiteboard or on individual PCs. MelvinCymraeg was designed as a tool for teachers to use in the whole class context. Subsequently a student version of MelvinCymraeg was also developed allowing the MelvinCymraeg games to be used by small groups or individual students as a revision or reinforcement aid.
02. What are the minimum system requirements for using MelvinCymraeg?
MelvinCymraeg has the following requirements:
Windows PC (Windows 2000, XP)
256Mb RAM (512+ recommended)
340Mb free disk space to install
Sound card and speakers
03. Is MelvinCymraeg compatible with my school network?
MelvinCymraeg must be installed on individual computers, not on a network.

04. Can I use MelvinCymraeg with any brand of Interactive whiteboard?
Yes, MelvinCymraeg can be used with any brand of Interactive whiteboard.
05. Can I use MelvinCymraeg without an Interactive whiteboard?
If you don't have an interactive whiteboard, you can still use MelvinCymraeg, even in a whole class situation so long as you have a data projector - simply get your pupils to interact with the program via the mouse and keyboard rather than touching the whiteboard - you could consider investing in some cordless mice that could be placed at the front of the class allowing you to remain adjacent to the projected image of the program.
06. Can I use MelvinCymraeg on a Mac?
Sorry, MelvinCymraeg is only available for Microsoft PC.

07. Can I customize MelvinCymraeg?
Yes, you can create custom topics in MelvinCymraeg.
You can also create custom labels for any topic in any language.
08. Is there a preparation utility for MelvinCymraeg?
We do not offer a preparation utility for MelvinCymraeg.
09. Can my students use MelvinCymraeg too?
Yes, MelvinCymraeg is available in a student version.

10. Can I use MelvinCymraeg's pictures in my own materials?
No, the pictures in MelvinCymraeg are embedded in the software and are not licenced for use outside the application. If you wish to use MelvinCymraeg pictures in your own materials please consider purchasing our Clipart for MFL product which has all the same pictures as in MelvinCymraeg for your own use.
11. Where can I get support and training for MelvinCymraeg?
Contact ic language and we can talk about training. We would not generally consider a training session for individual schools, but for a cluster or a group of schools that would be possible.
